New Customers and Joint Applications

To open an eOptions account online you must be an Australian resident, aged 12 years of age or older, applying for a personal account.

The eOptions account may be opened by two individuals as joint applicants, as long as both of the account owners are 12 years of age or older.

Information needed for your application
Personal Details - name, address and contact details including your email address
Identification - you must supply 100 points of identification at any Australia Post Office or Suncorp/GIO Branch
Tax File number - Provision of Tax File Numbers is optional under taxation legislation. If you do not provide a Tax File number to use for your bank accounts, tax may be deducted from the interest earned on the account at the highest marginal rate. Further information can be obtained from the Australian Taxation Office.
If you have already provided a Tax File Number in relation to your existing Suncorp account/s, you do not need to supply it again.

It should take you approximately 5 minutes to complete the application form. After receiving the required documents, your account will be opened in 2-5 business days.

Existing Internet Banking Customers

Simply log onto Internet Banking and from the left hand menu click on the following links:

Accounts
Open/Renew Accounts
eOptions – Apply Now

It should take you approximately 2 minutes to complete the application form. You will then receive notification of your new account details via email and secure message within 3 business days.

Please Note: To apply for a joint eOptions account, you must use the New Customer process below.

What will happen after you complete your application?

We will send an email to the address you supplied in the application, confirming that we have received your application and explaining the next steps in the process. We will also use this email address to update you on the progress of your application.

Please ensure the email address you supply in the application is correct. If you do not receive any emails from us within 24 hours of submitting your application online you will need to reapply to supply us with a correct address.
