My twelve years within the Suncorp Group demonstrate the possibilities and opportunities available within an organisation that is focused on developing and progressing its people.

It’s been an exciting and extremely challenging career journey for me – I have been able to explore and hone my skills, while broadening my knowledge through exposure to many areas of Banking, Wealth Management and Insurance.

A highlight for me has been working as General Manager Customer Development and Strategy, as this position presented me with a valuable learning opportunity. This department is an excellent prospect for people interested in plotting the direction of divisions, businesses and the organisation, and stands you in good stead for taking on roles charged with implementing those strategies. And, as this company expands, the development potential on offer in that area will only increase.

My current role as Group Executive Business Banking Customers is the culmination of my experience in this organisation – I’m doing what I enjoy - setting stretch goals, and developing and leading a high performing team to achieve them. It’s also a great reward, as I get the chance to support and offer others the opportunity to make their own career aspirations a reality.
