The Business Insurance policy that you design
Smart Choice Insurance covers your nominated business assets and liabilities, and can be structured to incorporate the specific covers that you require. Suncorp SmartChoice is about managing risk and the stress that goes with it.
You may choose from any of the covers listed below, but please note that you must choose a minimum of two covers. For certain policy sections such as Burglary/Theft, Money, Glass and Transit , you must choose them in combination with Fire and Defined Events / Accidental Damage cover.

| Fire and Defined Events / Accidental Damage* |
Covers you for loss or damage to buildings, business contents and stock as a result of certain specified events, including Fire, Storm (but not flood)and Malicious Damage. |
| Business Interruption |
Covers your profit if it is affected by loss or damage to property which is covered under either your Fire and Defined Events/Accidental Damage, Burglary/Theft, Money, Glass or Electronic Equipment covers. Coverage is on the basis of either, annual revenue, weekly revenue or critical income. |
Burglary / Theft*

Cover for theft of stock and contents contained in a building, following forced and violent entry. |

Covers loss or damage to money in the business premises during and after business hours, money in transit, or the money in your private home. Subject to policy conditions. |
| Glass* |
Covers breakage of internal and external glass. |
| Broadform (Public & Products) Liability |
Covers your Legal Liability for personal injury and property damage which happens in the policy period, caused by an occurrence in connection with your business or products. |
| Equipment Breakdown |
Covers the cost of repairing or replacing insured equipment if it suddenly and accidentally breaks down. We also cover the replacement of perishable property that spoils as a result of such a breakdown of insured equipment ( up to $5,000). |
| Electronic Equipment |
Two levels of cover are available. Breakdown Cover covers loss due to a sudden and accidental break down of an item of insured property whilst Maxicover covers loss or damage to items of insured property from any cause (other than those which are specifically excluded). |
| Portable Property |
Covers accidental loss or damage to portable trade and/or professional equipment anywhere in Australia. |
| Transit |
Covers loss or damage to goods and/or merchandise in transit on a motor vehicle, train or aircraft anywhere in Australia, and caused by specified events such as collision, overturning, derailment, fire, theft following forcible and violent entry to the vehicle, or pilferage or non delivery of an entire consigned package which is being transported by a professional carrying company. |
